The electronic dynamometer and weighing systems
The measuring instrument is applied to various industrial fields
NBC Elettronica Group, leader for 40 years in the field of industrial weighing systems, produces 3 different types of dynamometers to meet the different requests and needs of customers.
But what is this object for and what applications does it have in the industrial field?

The dynamometer (from the Greek: δύναμις, dýnamis, force, power and μέτρον, métron, measure) is a measuring instrument that determines the entity of a force applied to it and uses the principle of Hooke’s law, for which the deformation of an elastic material is directly proportional to the force applied to the material itself.
The dynamometer is used in mechanics. The measurements taken by the dynamometer can be in kg or in Newton, the default unit of measurement of a force.
The dynamometer: from the medical sector to the weighing of the goods
Industrial models, generally made up of a load cell with attached processing electronics, to which an object with mass can be hung, are commonly used to measure the weight force, i.e. the mass of an object multiplied by the gravity acceleration (what we commonly define “weight”). On the market there are dynamometers of various capacities: from a few Newtons to 100 tons and more.
The fields of application are innumerable:
- control of the incoming material (bars of material such as iron, aluminum or stainless steel, marble blocks, etc.);
- medical sector both for weight control of patients and to monitor muscle strength in rehabilitation;
- weight control in the port area;
- tensioning of power lines;
- verification of specimens in material testing machines;
- weighs suitcases;
- control of the catch.

The models of NBC Elettronica produced in Italy
NBC Elettronica Group produces different types of dynamometers, all electronic models, designed, assembled and calibrated in the Italian factory to meet the different needs of customers based on the required flow rate:
- DIN 03 (Payload between 2kg and 500 kg): Electronic dynamometer composed of a stainless steel traction load cell and a die-cast aluminum case housing the electronics with a 1.2 cm high 5-digit liquid crystal display, particularly suitable for laboratory tests.
- DIN 04 (Payload between 250kg and 100t): Electronic dynamometer composed of an aluminum tensile load cell where the electronics with a 1.7 cm high 5-digit LCD display are housed, designed for the measurement of static traction forces and loads static.
- DIN 04 TX Electronic dynamometer consisting of an aluminum tensile load cell where the electronics are housed with a 1.7 cm high 5-digit LCD display designed for the measurement of static traction forces and static loads. In this version, the electronics allow radio transmission of the weight to the RX DI02 or RX02 PORT model handheld with 868 MHz multichannel transmission frequencies up to a distance of 50m.

- DIN 05 L (capacity from 50 kg to 1000 kg): Electronic dynamometer consisting of a stainless steel traction load cell and die-cast aluminum housing where the electronics with a 2.5 cm high 5-digit liquid crystal display are housed, designed for weighing suspended loads.
- DIN 05 L (capacity from 50 kg to 1000 kg): Electronic dynamometer consisting of a stainless steel traction load cell, die-cast aluminum housing where the electronics with a 2.5 cm high 5-digit liquid crystal display are housed, designed for weighing suspended loads. In this version, the electronics allow the display and radio transmission of the weight to the RX DI02 or RX02 PORT model handheld with 868 MHz multichannel transmission frequencies up to a distance of 50m.
- DIN 05 M (capacity from 3200 kg to 10000 kg): Electronic dynamometer composed of a stainless steel traction load cell, die-cast aluminum housing where the electronics with a 2.5 cm high 5-digit liquid crystal display are housed, designed for weighing suspended loads.
- DIN 05 TXM (capacity from 3200 kg to 10000 kg): Electronic dynamometer composed of a stainless steel traction load cell, die-cast aluminum housing where the electronics are housed with a 2.5 cm high 5-digit liquid crystal display, designed for weighing of suspended loads. In this version, the electronics allow the display and radio transmission of the weight to the RX DI02 or RX02 PORT model handheld with 868 MHz multichannel transmission frequencies up to a distance of 50m.
- DIN TXH (capacity from 17t to 100t): Electronic dynamometer composed of a traction load cell and welded stainless steel case designed for weighing suspended loads. In this version, the electronics allow radio transmission of the weight to the RX DI02 or RX02 PORT model handheld with 868 MHz multichannel transmission frequencies up to a distance of 50m.
